Europe
enjoys its own subtropical region, the Canary Islands, where it is
spring all year round. An idyllic archipielago, made up of seven
islands, inbetween the deep blue of the Atlantic and the temperature
southern European sky.
Puerto de la Cruz, in the north of the
island of Tenerife is one of the most important tourist areas in the
Canary Islands.
Puerto de la Cruz is a cosmpolitan city and for the
last hundred years it has been visited by the main European
populations. A visitor to El Puerto can be assured of rest. Its
artificial spa facilities, created by the internationally famous
Canarian artist, Cisar Manrique, together with its beaches, parks
and walks create an ideal setting for leisure and entertaiment.
Set at the foot of the Teide volcano,
dressed in the marvellous foliage of the Valle de la Orotava and
bathed in the Atlantic Ocean, Puerto de la Cruz is a city born for
tourism. Its excellent, first class hotel facilities offer all
conveniences. Its historical centres take the visitor back in time
to an era rich in cultural experience.Banqueting rooms, avenues
specially designed for taking a stroll and leisure activities, as
well as its priviledge climate are some of the features that have
been admired by domestic and international tourism.
In the midst of the modern cosmopolitan
metropolis, one can breathe the peace and tranquility that seem to
invade such intimate places such us the Plaza del Charco, the
fishing boat wharf, the Plaza de la Iglesia, San Telmo or the small
sail boat village that still survives next to most of the roads that
maintain their ancient and traditional style.
Puerto de la Cruz offer a recently-arrived
traveller a wide range of typically Canarian or international
rerstaurants, pubs, cafeterias, banqueting rooms and all sorts of
leisure and entertainment centres, such as the Casino Taoro, the
Botanical Gardens, La Bananera, natural pools and Loro Park.
